Request to Do Something Using Kudasai (ください)

皆さんおはようございます!(^o^)!、今日の授業は日本語の文法です、good morning learners, welcome to this blog, today, we are learning Japanese grammar^^, Ok, prepare yourself we will begin the grammar lesson, in this class we are learning Japanese grammar how to make request and ask someone to do something using kudasai (ください)^^. Ok, let's star the lesson:

Grammar kudasai (ください)

JLPT Level : N5
This grammar is used to ask to do something, this is the formal request, maybe kudasai is like word "please" in English, you can use this grammar with a noun or verb. See the formula below:

Noun + を + ください ( please + noun)

See the example:

カメラをください
kamera o kudasai
camera, please
それをください
sore o kudasai
that one, please
赤いのをください
akai no o kudasai
please, the red one
赤い鞄をください
akai kaban o kudasai
the red bag, please

Sometimes native speakers drop the を particle in colloquial language. For example: カメラください (kamera kudasai) camera, please.

Te form verb + ください

JLPT Level: N5

And for verb just attach kudasai after te form verb, we learned te form conjugation in the previous lesson.

Must learn: Japanese verb conjugation: Te form

Formula: te form verb + ください (please to do + verb)

Example:

英語で話してください
eigo de hanashite kudasai
please, speak in English
日本語を教えてください
nihongo o oshiete kudasai
please teach me Japanese
ゆっくり話してください
yukkuri hanashite kudasai
please speak slowly
漢字で書いてください
kanji de kaite kudasai
please write in Kanji
ちょっと待ってください
chotto matte kudasai
please, wait for a while

You can make a request just using te form verb only, but just use this form when you are talking with your close friend,Ok^^. Example:

ちょっと待って
chotto matte
wait a while
これを食べて
kore o tabete
eat this
ひらがなで書いて
hiragana de kaite
write in Hiragana
私を愛して
watashi o aishite
love me
