Kanji (Chinese character) is the most difficult Japanese Character because Kanji has so many characters, there is about 48,000 Kanji in this world, surprised you? But take it easy friends, we do not need to worry, we only learn about 1945 kanji (now have been added some new kanji, so that now the amount is about 2136 Kanji). Hmm, 2000 Kanji? Not many, right? Not as many as if you learn Chinese^^ you must learn about 4000 Kanji.
Actually kanji is not as difficult as people think, if you learn it regularly and earnestly. Well the most riizhu likes of Japanese are kanji! XD I like learning Kanji, Kanji o benkyou suru koto wa tanoshii kara because learning Kanji is very fun^^.
That was Kanji, 2 other Japanese character sets are Hiragana
and Katakana these character sets are a hundred times easier than Kanji, so we
have to learn Hiragana and Katakana before we learn Kanji^^.
You can learning kanji later, little by little while learning vocabularies, grammars etc. But for Hiragana and Katakana, riizhu recommends you to learn as quick as possible, not hard, hiragana and katakana are not as complicated as and as many as Kanji, to learn both Hiragana and Katakana, firstly try to learn Hiragana, after that if you have already known one of them, you will be learn the another one easily because Hiragana and Katakana are very similar, after you have learnt Hiragana and Katakana, next you can learn the grammar, kanji and vocabulary and of course you must practice and practice more if you want to be fluent. read hiragana text wherever you find it, in Anime, Manga, Newspaper, Internet etc. And you will be used to with Kana (hiragana & katakana) sometime^^.
Ok, I sure you can learn Hiragana and Katakana only within 20 days^^ if you want to learn them, you can visit posts below:
- Let’s learn Hiragana characters
- And let’s learn Katakana characters, for Kanji we learn it little by little in this blog^^.
